CryoPen® Treatment

What is CryoPen®?
CryoPen® is a quick, safe and effective treatment that uses a fine jet of nitrous oxide to freeze and remove unwanted skin lesions. It works with precision, targeting only the lesion without damaging the surrounding healthy skin.
What Can CryoPen® Remove?
CryoPen® is suitable for treating:
-
Skin tags
-
Age spots / liver spots (benign lentigines)
-
Cherry angiomas (red spots)
-
Warts and verrucas
-
Solar keratosis (sun spots)
-
Small benign moles (after confirmation of benign nature)
Safety First: Map My Mole
At Sarah Hunt Aesthetics, your safety is always my priority.
Before treating any pigmented lesion, we use Map My Mole, a mole mapping and dermatoscope service run by dermatology specialists. This ensures that any mole or pigmented lesion is assessed and confirmed as benign before removal with CryoPen®.
Suspicious or cancerous lesions will not be treated and will be referred back to your GP or dermatologist.
Who is CryoPen® Suitable For?
Most adults looking for safe removal of benign lesions.
Not suitable if you:
-
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
-
Have uncontrolled diabetes or poor wound healing
-
Have active skin infections in the treatment area
-
Have suspicious/undiagnosed lesions (these require GP/dermatology referral first)
Before Your Appointment
-
Avoid applying creams, lotions, or makeup on the area to be treated.
-
Please let your practitioner know about your full medical history, medications, and any skin conditions.
-
Ensure any moles or pigmented lesions have been checked via Map My Mole or your GP/dermatologist.
Aftercare Advice
-
The treated area may blister, scab, or appear darker before healing — this is normal.
-
Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24 hours.
-
Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the area.
-
Protect the skin from sun exposure with SPF 30+ until fully healed.
-
Healing usually takes 2–6 weeks depending on the lesion and individual skin type.
Results
CryoPen® treatment is highly effective, often requiring only one session. Some lesions may need a follow-up treatment for best results.
